The Beginning

Well, i like so much English, like my blog's name says hahahaha. I think that it's important, for my studies, my future work, or any job. You never know when need to speak a different language, and English is very common.
For example, i was working last weekend on Pulp's show, on the stage mouving instruments and all the technic stuff. And the tour's mannager not just speak only in english, they also talk to you as you could "think" very fast in english. So i must be clever and wake up to understand any indication, because if i wasn't probably the England's fury could attack me hahaaha.

I thought in the begin of this subjet, that was VERY scholar. The clasic model of disciplinary reproduction. But with time i understood, that the space in the class is different. Actually now i think that pedagogical technics are right. It's better talk with classmates, people that sometimes you don't know, so you need to speak, because "silence" with unknow people is uncomfortable. So you try better hahha.

About blogs, i think that are a "light" way to practise, but doesn't mean that are useless. Actually they are a space to work with english in different topics.

Well i would like to practice more. I like english, but my pronunciation is awful, but my spanish pronunciation is also bad hahaha. I'm bad modulating, but it's just training, i think haha.

The New Addictions

The DSM-V(the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of  Mental Disorders)   is the new edition of this world famous manual. And is interesting how there, appears a lot of new disorders. We can see two ways to approach in this situation, and both are not opposite: 1) Society is sicker than some years ago; 2)There is a progressive work to classified and convert in "pathology" spaces, activities, interests, that before weren't.
And in this second option, we could, also, think another two reason for this: 1) We discover new "illness" or 2) We "create" new psychopathologies. And a good example for this last option is a Chinese study where scientists work in a comparison between substance addiction people's brain and obsessive internet user's brain. And they found that there is a similar change in the brain for people addicted to substances like alcohol, cocaine or cannabis and in people with "internet addiction". The scientist used MRI scanners with a control group of sixteen normal subjects and an experimental group of seventeen Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD) subjects.

However, it's interesting in this case, read behind these studies, because, we live into a particular economy model, and "illness" and pharmacology are two big industries. I mean, if this system ask for join to the new technologies, and all the social life, appears into a virtual social platform, is weird that now they star to believe that it could produce and addiction. And beside, they are thinking (APA), to include soon, sex and internet to the addiction disorders. And, ¿What is the solution?, ¿Pills?. I can't trust in an organization who is trying progressively all the social space in psychopatologies (For example the ideological behaviour against system). We should stay alert when these new categories appears.

"porque también somos lo que hemos perdido"

Amores Perros is an Iñárritu's film, and is not my favorite film, but represent a lot of strong feelings for me and a particular moment in my life. I saw it in my house 2 years ago, and i think that every Iñárritu's film talk about Angst, about the bitter changes of everything in life, a fracture that suddenly make that things fall into an abyss. This film is the first of  "death's trilogy" with Babel and 21 Gramos. Amorres Perros is a Drama film, starred by Gael García, Emilio Echevarría, Goya Toledo, etc. But this drama has strong scenes, violence, betray, marginality and despair. Apparently like a pulp fiction movie, but behind there are big concepts. In each film, Iñárritu write a sentence that summarize the film's concept. In this film he wrote porque también somos lo que hemos perdido. Maybe i like it so much because in this film i look into the abyss, i feel empathy with the characters, but, not in the american sense, when i write empathy i'm talking about feel with someone, in this movie i feel the vertigo of the tragedy. And i remember with this film a friend's brain accident, fortunately he's fine now, but he likes so much this movie and sometimes we talk about it, and his accident.

Usually people put a trailer to suggest a movie, today i'll give you a different thing, a song of the film's OST, that in my opinion, represent big part of the concept in this film.

In "nobody" we trust

Normally 60% of abstention could mean serious things, but i'm not sure this time about it.
First, i didn't vote, honestly, just because i'm lazy, but it doesn't mean that i don't care the municipalities. I can rationalize in my defense and say that in my municipality (La Granja) the winner was decide few months ago, actually my municipality had one of the bigger differences between the winner, and second after him (something like 75% of votes of the people were for the winner).
Delpin the new mayor, is (was) one of my father's old friend, because my father was an active member of DC long years ago. And i know, honestly and with responsibility  that the mayors just win for works that do with the biggest part in their communes, i mean, in the part of this where live the most of the people. Because in that way they guarantee the most of the votes, but the left one part without help. It's sounds obvious but it shouldn't be, if i know people who work in municipality or the mayor, i will have more profit that someone who never knew before, and it's not fair.
The same thing happens in all our political system, is a government for the "friends", for the "little things", for the "grants", the scholarships, for the subsidies, it's like a bribe that all of us accept.
I think that people didn't vote for two reason, and for these reason i will be a prejudice man:
1) People are lazy, you can't create a different "system" without work on the subject: without make "the social subject" possible.
2) People don't trust in the future promised by the political class, it doesn't matter who win, we lost ( at least that you know "someone" like i said before)

"socio: cómplice: infrarrealista hermanito nuestro"

Honestly, I dislike topics like “the greatest Chilean of all time", I remember a tv show about that topic. And also i remember a Nicanor Parra's poem:

"Los cuatro grandes poetas de Chile/
son tres:/
Alonso de Ercilla y Rubén Darío"

And it's funny because the strength of the poem is on the nationality of Ercilla and Darío, Spanish and Nicaraguan respectively. I'm not sure about who could be the greatest Chilean of all time, but I admire the work and life of Roberto Bolaño. And isn’t a coincidence that I write about that Parra’s poem, because Bolaño work with that poem talking about exile, literature, nationality and how a country fight to appropriate of a writer, poet or anything else.

Bolaño lived, almost, all his life in México or Spain, or simply out of Chile, but his work made possible the “novel” in Chile, because Chile is a poet’s country, but the novel here is a weak topic. He wrote about adolescence and exile, mainly set in México because he live his teen years there, but the teaching in his books, named a different exile first, because exile is leave a country, but also, leave a city, leave your house and most important leave your youth, burn the poems and start to write novels, there is and exile there. And in other hand the adolescence happens everywhere, because also the nationality is not a country for a writer, is his memories, and these are better hide.

He died in 2003, but anyway, if I could ask something, probably I would ask him about Mario Santiago, the Mexican poet, maybe his best friend, and he died in 1998, and Bolaño wrote many times about him. He appears in Los Detectives Salvajes, as Ulises Lima, and is probably one of his most interesting characters created. Because in real life he was one of the weirdest and greatest peoples that I never heard.

School Strikes Back

In our traditional education, there are hegemonic speeches. One of these, work hard with the "scores", the memory, the repetition and the state's ideological reproduction. And that ideology is deeply interested in the market, the comparison between students, the measurement of IQ or any disorder. But the problem is behind that speech, people don't learn alone, people learn with a partner, with classmates, that could know more or less than they.
I think that this activities works when people study before, are nice indicators of knowledge in a specific moment, but this activities doesn't work for the measurement of the "learned". The big work is on speaking class, but also, people need to answer with their will or good disposal.

Mighty Max

When i was six i knew my best friend until now, Cristian. He was my classmate when i started the school. Someday i had to do a homework in another classmate's house, and Cristian's houses was near to (Also, he still live there). So when i finished the homework, my father was to my classmate's house to pick me, and when we were leaving that house, Cristian appeared out, because he was playing on the street, and invited me to his house.
My father walked with me to his house. And there, my father stayed talking with Cristian's parents and i was to play with Cristian in his room. When i was there, i couldn't believe what i was seeing, he had TOO MANY toys. So i played for hours with differents toys, he showed to me every toy in his room. And finally when i was leaving the house, he asked me if i would like to be his friend. I thought that it was a weird and silly question, but i said yes, no problem. And he went to his room and came with a bag in his hands and he gave it to me. When i opened it, i saw a LOT of toys there, and one of them i'd never forgotten. It was and Mighty Max toy, i hadn't known those toys before that day, but the first time i saw it, it really liked me. There were two Mighty Max toys, one of them was a Mummy's face, full of other little toys inside, and was the same with the other, a Zombie's hand with little toys inside.
I know that this history sounds silly, but that was the begin of a nice friendship, and Cristian is now like my brother.
